I am presently teaching Second Grade reading and math, at Clarinda Lutheran School, part time. I have taught for 36 years and counting. I have been at CLS since 2001.I have many Bible passages that would rank in the favorite category and one of those is "By grace are you saved, through faith, and not of yourself, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no man can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.
I have had an exciting, interesting and rewarding teaching career filled with awesome children, parents, administrators, experiences, and colleagues. I have taught in one-room schools, in multi-grade situations, in buildings with over 500 hundred students(K-6) and in both Lutheran schools and the public schools. I have taught in Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, and Iowa. Most of my experience has been in the elementary level and most often in first grade. However I can say that either through teaching or subbing I have had experience in all grades preschool through 12th grade. I graduated from Concordia, Seward, Nebraska with my BS and from NWMSU in Maryville, Missouri with my Masters. The Lord has truly blessed my teaching career and I'm very thankful that He knew that was what He wanted me to be from very little on. Joyful in His service, Chris
